Fashion Your Life with the PowerSheets
Have you ever felt like you are busy but aren’t making any progress toward your goals? That’s exactly how I felt last year before I discovered the PowerSheets. I was busy, striving, and worn out trying to hold everything together. But everything wasn’t together. No matter how beautiful and perfect things looked on the outside, I was cracking on the inside.
The truth is although I was very good at time management, I had no balance. Everything needed and demanded my attention. I felt like I was obligated to my to-dos and I was a slave to my schedule. There was absolutely no margin for the things that mattered and to be honest, I don’t think there ever was.
I couldn’t rest. What was rest? I didn’t have time for that! Every time I tried to focus on the things that really mattered to me, like my friends, family, and relationship, I felt guilty. There was always an ominous to-do haunting and threatening me to get back to work. So over time, I started saying no to the things that mattered and yes to the things that didn’t.

I was so deep into striving at this point, that I couldn’t see myself out of the hole, largely because I felt like I had to do it all. I had to do my master’s coursework. I had to grow my coaching business. I had to pick up extra hours at work. If it was in my planner or on my list, I had to do it. So when I discovered the PowerSheets, an intentional goal setting planner, and Lara Casey’s purpose-filled goals setting method I was blown away.
Purpose-filled and grace-filled goal setting is all about setting good goals. According to Lara “good goals are about stewarding what you’ve been given well: your relationships, your money, your possessions, your work, your children, your home, your health, and your time.”
Did you read that? Good goals aren’t about checking off a to-do list, striving, or pleasing those around you; they are about cultivating what matters. Need another definition? Lara simply puts it this way. Good goals:
Grow what matters
At a time
Little by little your
Seeds will grow
This definition and approach to goal setting has given me so much freedom because I realized that it was greater than my to-do list or schedule. Goal setting was ultimately about living a purpose-driven life, and that’s exactly what I coach my clients on.
Your goals aren’t meant to define you. They are meant to support you as you carry out your God-given purpose. They give you direction by providing you with a deliberate focus and that’s exactly what the PowerSheets do.
If you ever wanted a coach in your back pocket, step by step in the PowerSheets, Lara coaches you through setting purpose-driven goals that will help you cultivate what matters. The prep work pages are there to walk you through setting purpose-filled goals for the year. Other worksheets include Goal Actions Ideas, Monthly/Weekly/Daily Tending Lists for the tending of your goals, and more. The PowerSheets are about progress, not perfection. They don’t help you make it all happen, they help you make the right things happen.
The Tending List has definitely made me more intentional in fashioning my life. It has given me accountability in a sense so that I can focus not only on my goals but others around me. Instead of focusing on busyness and striving, I’m much more intentional when it comes to fashioning a life and business that I love.
The PowerSheets have been such a game changer in my personal life that a couple months back when Cultivate What Matters was having a sale, I decided to purchase a second set to solely focus on my business goals. By doing so, I was able to focus on the tasks that were going to grow my business instead of just keeping me “busy.”
Now that 2017 is coming to an end, I’m so ready for the New Year because of what I’m cultivating with the PowerSheets. The PowerSheets have helped me to exchange busyness and striving for purposeful & grace-filled living. They have given me the gift of purpose & progress over perfection, and now I want to give the same gift to you!
The 2018 PowerSheets are finally here! The PowerSheets One-Year Goal Planner features additional seasonal worksheets, is already dated month by month, and includes a full year of goal setting. There are also six-month undated sets for those who want to give them a try but aren’t ready to fully commit. They’re absolutely perfect for women in every stage of life, every role, and every season. They work if you do! I felt the impact right away as I began the prep work before the year began. If you’re looking to have an intentional and purposeful year too, here’s your chance. Click here to view the whole PowerSheets collection or the button below to buy the one year set!
If you know me, I never share anything that I don’t absolutely love. I will be buying a set of PowerSheets every year as long as they are sold. I use them and I recommend them to my clients as they set purpose-driven goals for my coaching program. They aren’t magic but they are extremely intentional in helping you fashion a purpose-driven life.
